Winter is just around the corner and, we Pakistanis not only look forward to the onset of the winter season, but we also look forward to the Daraz sale scheduled during these months. These sales offer amazing discounts & new products that we wait to lay our hands on! But before we can, we face one annoying obstacle in our path. The stickers & labels on these newly bought goods hamper our experience.
Plus, we Pakistanis love to reuse empty achar and jelly bottles. But we dread removing their name labels. What if we told you how to remove these labels and stickers quickly and without much effort?
Don’t believe us! Read on and learn it. You can use the steps below to remove stickers/labels from shoes, vases, glass or plastic bottles, and even from a window!
A WD-40® Multi-Use-Product
A microfiber cloth
A sponge
A scraper or putty knife to scrape off the label
WD40 is a multipurpose lubricant. It works like magic for removing stickers and labels. All you need to do is spray some WD-40 Multi-use Product on the intended area and let the chemical sit for some time. A little pro tip is to cover the entire sticker area with WD-40. Before using the WD-40 Multi-use product, always shake the can. It ensures that the components mix and make the product as effective as possible.
Now to remove the label, start pulling from one corner. It should be easy to pull the sticker off because WD-40 softens the adhesive bonds. You can use a scraper or a putty knife to scrape it off. But this technique needs to be used with a lot of care because you don’t want to damage your glass surface. Try to gently scrape off the sticker residue; without applying much pressure. The best way is to begin from one end and then move slowly upwards with repetitive scrapes
Once you have peeled off the label, you will find leftover adhesive residue or sometimes the remnants of the sticker left behind. To clean this, wipe the surface with a sponge or a damp cloth. You can also use WD-40 Multi-use Product on a clean cloth to remove the leftover gunk. After you finish cleaning the leftover residue, wipe the surface with a microfiber cloth to get a smooth & clean surface.
