Regardless of whether it’s a gold chain that you need to polish or a ring, you’ll need the help of the Magical Mixture. You may be thinking that from where can you get this Magical Portion to clean. Well! The magical mixture is a solution made by combining baking soda, dish soap, and water. Yes, that’s it! All you need to do is fill a bowl with water and add a small quantity of baking soda into it, followed by dish soap. Next, you submerge your gold pieces into this mixture for a few minutes. It will allow this cleaning solution to work its magic!
Once you have soaked your gold jewelry in the cleaning solution for ample time, the next step is to scrub your gold pieces. However, when it comes to scrubbing, you need to be cautious. Therefore, we recommend using a soft-bristled toothbrush for the job. Now scrub & remove all kinds of dirt & gunk accumulated in the crevices of your gold jewelry. When cleaning, do bear in mind that there is no need to apply excessive force or pressure. Scrubbing the gold pieces with gentle hands will do the job just fine!
After you are satisfied that you have cleaned your jewelry, it is time to rinse the jewelry. We recommend using warm water for the job. To ensure that you get rid of the baking soda mixture and all the gunk residue, you can take the help of your toothbrush. Once you have rinsed it thoroughly, inspect it to see if the gold pieces are clean or not. If you are not satisfied with the results, you may repeat.
We recommend using a soft cloth for drying the gold off. Avoid using paper towels or products that can leave scratches on the gold. Alternatively, you can also let it dry in the air.
To finish up the process of polishing, you will need a jeweler’s cloth. You can purchase it easily at jewelry stores and supermarkets. All you need to do is take the jeweler’s cloth and wipe the surface of your gold gently. It will give the gold a shine and polish. Also, if you see any remaining debris or gunk on your piece of gold, feel free to take care of it with your jeweler’s cloth. Wipe your gold a couple of times, at least to give it a much-deserved polish!
