HOW TO CLEAN YOUR MOTORBIKE DURING WINTERS?

Then keep your motorbikes clean & maintain them all year round, whether winter is coming, has come, or is about to end. Winters are tough on everyone, including your motorbike. Therefore, even motorcycles need extra care for optimal performance during winters.

Step 1
Hosing down the motorbike
Everything tends to collect dirt & debris faster in Winters. The undercarriage, wheels & any gaps or crevices in your bike also accumulate dirt & debris deposits frequently. This build-up negatively impacts the performance of your motorbike. Therefore, hosing down your bike every one or two weeks will help get rid of it. For stubborn gunk accumulation, you can use WD-40 Specialist Fast Acting Degreaser. Spray & allow it to rest for some time. Then wipe it away using a clean cloth. After using WD-40 Specialist, rinse your motorcycle with cold water to remove any excess chemical or leftover dirt residue.
Step 2
Apply Anti-Rust Spray to exposed metallic surfaces
After you clean your bike, apply an anti-rust spray like WD-40 Multi-use Product to vulnerable surfaces, like the brake discs, undercarriage and bike chain. WD-40 MUP not only prevents corrosion but also provides lubrication which keeps friction at bay. We recommend regular application after intervals. Apart from the vulnerable areas, protecting the joints & moving parts in the bike is also essential. Lubrication during winters is crucial. WD-40 is ideal for lubrication & rust prevention.

Clean the Lights Regularly
Visibility is crucial in winter. Therefore, make sure that the headlights on your bike are kept clean and free from dirt.
