Pakistan’s domestic water supply is dependent on groundwater sources. Therefore, the water we receive in our homes is hard! You may be wondering why we are sharing this fun fact with you. Well! Hardwater has a bunch of disadvantages. One is the formation of limescale deposits.
These deposits clog your showerheads, faucets & entire plumbing systems, discolor your precious tiles, destroy your appliances and even make your hair & skin dry & brittle. Therefore, today we will teach you how to remove limescale deposits. We will also recommend ways that you can adopt to prevent limescale formation. Let’s get started!
White vinegar
Rags
Baking soda
Brush
Water
WD-40® Multifunction Product
Water softener
White vinegar is available in households and is a non-expensive yet excellent limestone remover. Make a solution using white vinegar & water in equal parts in a spray bottle. Spray on the surface to be treated & then wipe it with a cloth. If you don’t have a spray bottle, you may soak a clean cloth in this solution. Then rub the limestone deposits with the soaked cloth. Check out how you can use the vinegar solution to remove limescale stains from bathrooms, kitchens & appliances in a hassle-free manner.
For stubborn limestone deposits, baking soda works the best.
Dissolve three tablespoons of baking soda with one tablespoon of water, the mixture should be a little pasty. Then apply it to the stain to be treated and allow it to dry. Rub the area with an old toothbrush. Rinse with clear water & wipe the area with a cleaning rag.
One of the main functions of the WD-40 Multi-use Product is that it helps to eliminate residues. That is the reason it adapts well to removing limestone stains too! Spray the product directly on the faucet, showerhead, or sink and then wipe it with a cloth or an old toothbrush.
It tackles the most stubborn limescale deposits quickly. Using the WD-40 Multifunction product also serves two more benefits. The scent of WD-40 will not irritate your nose like the smell of vinegar does. And it will also help protect the surfaces from rust & corrosion by displacing moisture away. All in all, it is the best limestone remover spray.
