Do you think we are going bonkers by recommending you use an eraser to get rid of scuff marks? We can assure you that it is a tried & tested hack! Erasers are excellent scuff mark removers. You can use simple stationary erasers, make sure not to apply too much pressure, or you might end up damaging the finish or color of the floor. That is why you will find magic erasers for removing scuff marks that are gentle on the finish and color of your flooring. A few pointers to keep in mind while using erasers are as follows:
Baking soda paste is a powerful cleaner that helps you get rid of different stains and marks. Plus, it is a very versatile scuff mark remover, and you can use it on all types of flooring. We recommend doing a patch test on a small area to ensure that it is not harsh for your particular flooring type. Mix baking soda in warm water and apply it using a sponge or microfiber towel. Gently rub over the scuff mark and see it vanish as if it was not there in the first place. Then wipe over the surface using a dampened microfiber cloth to remove any residue and clean the surface thoroughly.
If you have tried the above two methods and the scuff marks persist. It is time to take out the big guns. We are referring to your handy can of WD-40 Multi-use Product. Do a patch test to ensure that it is not discoloring your floor. If all goes well, spritz it on the scuff mark and wait for a few minutes to let the magic happen. Wipe with a microfiber towel, and you will not see any signs of those scuff marks. Clean the surface with a damp cloth to remove any remaining residue, and buff your floor with a dry cloth.
