HOW TO FIX SQUEAKY DOOR HINGES

The reason is the recent relaxation in lockdown and the decrease in Corona cases in Pakistan. We Pakistanis love to host feasts and, Bakra Eid is the perfect occasion for it. But imagine your guests coming in the house with squeaky sounds greeting them along the way. It is an embarrassing scenario that we would all like to avoid at all costs. Although, squeaky doors are a real nuisance. Yet, people procrastinate to fix this minor issue. Today we will tell you how to fix the problem DIY.

Step 1
Locate the Cause of Squeaky Door Hinges
The squeaky sound occurs due to several reasons. If the pin in the hinge bends out of shape or the screws have become loose, hinges will make squeaky noise. Another reason is that dirt clings to the lubricant applied previously and turns into grime, which affects the movement of the hinge & results in squeaky noise.
Therefore, it is always crucial to locate the problem before you can go about fixing it. If you do not know where the problem is, how can you fix it?
Although you can identify which of the three hinges on the door is making the noise, it is best to carefully check all the hinges and save yourself from trouble in the future.
Step 2
Fix the hinge
If the pin of the hinge bends out of shape, you can easily this. Plus, tighten all the screws. Now check if the door is making a squeaky sound. If it does, you need to lubricate the hinges. But before you do that, you need to clean them thoroughly.
Step 3
Clean the hinges remove the grime
To clean the hinges, take a clean piece of cloth and wipe the visible parts of the hinges to clear the dust from the outer surface. Now grime forms when dust keeps accumulating on the grease previously applied to the hinges. Removing this will make it easier for you to .lubricate the hinges and hence fix the squeaky door
The best way to go about it is to spray ample amounts of WD-40 Multi-Use-Product on the hinges. It helps to remove gunk & grime deposits quickly & easily. Allow it to sit on the hinges for some time. Then use a rag to wipe the area thoroughly. WD-40 Multi-use Product penetrates and cleans, not only from the outside but also from the inside. Use the Flexi straw or Smart Straw to apply WD-40 precisely on the hinge. Keep an old rag ready just in case to catch any drips on the nearby surfaces.
Step 4
Lubricate the Squeaky Door
Once you are sure that the hinges are clean, you need to lubricate the hinges. You will be surprised to know that WD-40 Multi-Use-Product is also an ideal lubricant and keeps things lubricated for a while. Therefore, spray it on the hinges and then check if the squeaky sound is gone or not.
Pro Tip
